J. Tyler Thompson, CPA - President Mr. Thompson has been engaged in the practice of public accounting since 1991.  His practice is primarily focused on assisting closely-held service businesses and business owners with management, tax planning and accounting systems. A graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, Mr. Thompson received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.  In 1991, he joined the staff of a large regional CPA firm specialized in audit and tax services for closely held businesses.  In 1993, he joined a local Indianapolis-based CPA firm where he served clients as Client Service Manager and was responsible for managing all aspects of tax, accounting and consulting services to a variety of service businesses throughout Indiana.    Mr. Thompson founded his own firm in June, 2000.  Thompson Myers & Associates now provides tax, accounting, payroll, and consulting services to nearly 200 businesses and their owners throughout Central Indiana.       Mr. Thompson has extensive experience in the areas of taxation, accounting and management for closely held businesses and individuals.  He has focused on working with owners of service businesses and professional practices including physicians, dentists, engineers, among others.   Active Memberships:  ·        American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA)  ·        Indiana CPA Society  ·        Professional Association of Small Business Accountants  ·        AICPA Tax and Information Technology Sections  ·    Indiana Medical Group Management Association     Julie A. Myers, CPA - Director of Client Services   Ms. Myers has been engaged in the practice of public accounting since 1989.  Her practice is primarily focused on assisting professional service businesses and their owners in managing their accounting systems and income tax liabilities, and providing consulting services.    A 1988 graduate of Hanover College, Ms. Myers received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration.  In 1989, Ms. Myers joined the tax staff of a large, Indianapolis-based CPA firm and advanced to the position of Senior Tax Manager.   In order to better serve small business clients, in 2001, she joined Thompson Myers & Associates as a partner.  Ms. Myers has focused on providing accounting, taxation, and management advisory services to small businesses and individuals.  In addition, Ms. Myers works closely with small business owners providing consulting services in the areas of accounting, taxation, and management.   Active Memberships: ·         American Institute of Certified Public Accountants ·         Indiana CPA Society ·         Indiana Medical Group Management Association ·         Executive Women in Health Care ·         Board of Directors - Adoptions of Indiana, Inc.
